We missed a whole month, but it's worth the wait...

We haven't purposefully been avoiding a new blog post, but have been suffering with a poor lack of good photo ops to share. Until today, that is! The United Way gang was so kind today and threw us a pretty kickin' baby shower! This, on the heels of a rockin' shower the other week with family and friends, and Mr. Cooper Pants can consider himself quite loved already by everyone around us.

You'll have to checkout the slideshow on the page to get the full experience... and for those of you who have been on a belly watch, bask in the glow of my round, largeness!

Jody, thank you SO much for organzing the shower today- it was fun, beautiful and a total A+! You always put so much of yourself into your events and we consider ourselves quite lucky to have you as a friend who takes the time to make us feel so very special! To all of you who came to the shower today, thanks for spending your lunch hour with us and for all of the wonderful presents!! No doubt Cooper will be sporting a LIVE UNITED onsie and making the rounds in the office a few times this summer to pass along his thanks!

Brad and I have been truly, truly grateful for everyone who has offered up their bits of baby-ness for us to have. Shannon & Scott have totally outfitted our nursery furniture - no joke, every piece of furniture they graciously brought to us - a crib, changing table, 2 shelves and possibly the world's most comfortable chair & ottoman. On top of that, they provided us with a Diaper Genie, exersaucer, stroller, carseat, bedding and blankets! We can't thank you guys enough!!! Betsy & Ryan got things kicked off for us with some great tips and equipment, including a super jazzy universal stroller, bouncy seat (which is said to be made of gold!), car seat, bottles and more. Seriously...we have GREAT people in our lives!

Then, there's the always amazing Christy O'Grady, Jennifer Noffze, Michele Borst and Toni Hung - you may remember them from such productions as "The Girls" from the Wedding! Christy and Jennifer produced a mighty fun shower chock full of ice cream goodness (of which I'm just now finishing up, time to stock back up..baby needs it!) :) Thank you both for all of your hard work that day - it was a blast, and who knew such a learning experience. Thanks to all of our attendees- you had such good advice and were so incredibly generous! (I still giggle at Uncle Brian's clothes sizing..sorry Brian, but you did provide us some serious comedy that day and you weren't even there!)

Michele and Toni -- you are the best long-distance aunts a kid (and future mom) could ask for. Who else can say they've gotten some of the most sage advice from Italy? Who else has a friend that keeps a steady supply of boxes coming full of all sorts of goodies in the mail. You guys know how very much I love and miss you. I can't wait to see you again and introduce Cooper to his older buds and take that much awaited photo with all of us and our munchkins!

Mar, Jim, Mom & Dad - you guys have all given us so much support and love over the past few months, it's hardly measurable...but if I had to guess, it's the equivalent of 1,000,000 skeins of yarn! (wink, wink) What a lucky kiddo to have such excited grandparents - just think of all the things you can do, and then have the luxury to hand him back over when you're done! :)

Of course, since I'm writing this time, I get to say to you all how very much I love my husband and completely value the man he is. Go ahead and roll your eyes and brush us off as newelyweds still, but Brad has made this pregnancy as enjoyable and at times bearable, as possible. I love him for being the exact opposite of what people expect and being exactly what I always need. He takes such amazing care of our family. I'm beyond proud to be his partner and wife and consider myself the luckiest girl in the world that he is my husband. Besides, I'm pretty sure he's the only one I know who doesn't flinch when I say I want Cheetos and Pop Tarts for dinner.

If I've left you out, it's not on purpose, my pregnancy brain is filled to the brim with tons of things to say, but I know I'll forget - just know that if you're reading this, it's likely that we owe you a big hug and a thank you for all you've done for our new, growing family.

We'll do our best to get back in the habit of blogging- it really is fun to look back and have a chronicle of this adventure - and I have no doubts that our picture drought will be over here in a few more weeks!

For those of you counting- I'm in the middle of week 34...which according to the last measurements of Cooper means size wise about week 37ish. We'll see what tomorrow's doctor's visit shows!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
